When I first began the book I almost stopped because of the palpable despair of the main character and found myself wondering "can I read another 400 pages of this?" I am so glad that I kept going! This was a wonderful read about heartbreaking loss, obsessive love and ultimately redemption. Wonderful, involving characters that lived and breathed. Set mostly in Cornwall and London, this was a provoking and satisfying read. I should have known it would be...I have always enjoyed this author's books. Fans of Rosamunde Pilcher would enjoy this book.
