Is suddenly thrusted from her comfortable London life into the role of "flapper of the seas". Catriona leans that in addition to the large forturne she has also become the inheritor of a tremendous task.
The success or failure of Keys Shipping, the company advisers tell her
rests on the Arcadia's maiden voyage and on Catriona's own shoulders.
Against the opulent, decadent backdrop of the magnificent ocean liner, whirlwind affairs & elegant balls, high finance intrigue and
treachery.
