Detective Gabe Rafferty is trying to solve the murder of a millionaire recluse. The man was viciously stabbed to death with a particular kind of knife with links to Tibetans.

Rafferty is attracted to the beautiful woman even though she's a prime suspect in the killing and she also knows way more of his feelings of guilt than she should.
When the millionaire's son and daughter in law are murdered in the same grisly way, and then later his partner, Rafferty knows he absolutely must stay focused on the case at hand.
The story line pulls the reader in and doesn't let go until the very last page. I look forward to seeing the further adventures of Detective Rafferty.
