When Gamache, Myra Landers and a young builder are named to be executors of a will, they wonder why they have been chosen. This is the 14th installment of the Chief Inspector Gamache series and does not disappoint. In the last book, Gamache had allowed a shipment of deadly opioids to get on the street and he is now trying to gather them up before more people die from their consumption. These events allow for a stressful and intense book but all comes out in the end with a few surprises in store for the reader. If you haven't read this series, you should, as Three Pines in Canada is a very interesting place to visit.
