This was a pretty good read for a first novel. I thought the story was fresh and original. The only complaint was that sometimes the book was bogged down with too many details and descriptions of certain things. Another issue, and it's just my issue, is the name of the one character, Never. Interesting name, great character, but sometimes I would confuse the character name with the adverb and have to reread a sentence or a paragraph 2 or 3 times just to make sure I was reading it correctly. Other than that, I loved the characters, the events, and especially how it ended. I can't wait to read the next installment.
