If you are looking for a laughing-out-loud funny book -- this is it!

I agree with another reviewer that this has lots of predictable aspects, however, I decided to sit back and let Maggie Osborne lead me along on a fun romp.

The story spins on the reaction of 3 women (lonely, wealthy spinsters) who have been wooed, married, robbed and deserted. The bad boy is one Jean Jacques Villette!

Besides these 3, heaven knows how many others Villette might have married and conned. However, when these 3 get together, they decide to confront the bigamist and kill him!

These women absolutely cannot stand each other and spend a lot of time trying to figure out why Villette would bother to marry the others.

Before long, they figure out that Villette was gathering (their) money to undertake a trip to the gold fields of the Yukon.

With staggering audacity, these 3 greenhorns decide to go too! Thus, the story is set into motion -- watching Juliette, Clara and Zoe undertake a trip few men would accomplish!

Since my initial reading, I've re-read this several times. It has an unusual background -- the Canadian coast and Alaska - plus the fever of the Yukon Gold Rush -- that adds much to the story.

Without a doubt, this story includes some of the funniest scenes I've ever read! A great book!
