When she was twelve years old, Eve Black's parents and sister were murdered by an unknown assailant. Eve was lucky to survive. As a type of therapy, Eve began writing. Now she has written a true crime memoir about her family and the serial killer who was never caught.

Jim is a security guard at a local supermarket. He bought a copy of Eve's book and is reading it. Jim isn't happy. He is the person who committed several rapes and murders, and he believes Eve is getting close to the truth about the Nothing Man.

This book has many 5-Star ratings, but I just couldn't get into it. I listened to the audiobook, and I made it to 42% before giving up. I couldn't listen anymore. At that point we had rehashed many rapes and murders that Jim had committed prior to killing Eve's family. I don't know if it was my mood, but I just couldn't listen to any more of it. DNF.
