Book Review of The Wishing Game

This is a compelling book; such a page turner that I think I read it straight through, and yet so disturbing in its content that there is no danger of me ever picking it up again. It is set in an extremely strict 1950's English boarding school, and revolves around a number of the students there. Shy, sensitive Jonathon Palmer is surprised to find that the school loner, Richard Rokeby, wants to befriend him. The relationship however is a twisted one, and the story slowly builds to an unexpected climax involving both the evil and the supernatural.
