I found many parallels between Sebold's TLB and Lisa See's Peony in Love. Both stories are of girls who die tragically before they have come of age. Each girl watches the world below from her heaven as they try to understand thier life and death. As others have said, a haunting and beautiful story. Excellent book club selection.
