The writing is well done, however, the H/H sometimes had the IQ of a rocking horse. She constantly idelized her land of origin and applied her 21 cent. western walues of female rights and equality to her new desert/Islamic land/home in the late 1800/early 1900. The hero was more of a down to earth man with great knowlidge about his adoptive homeland. However both the H/H acted as spoiled teens, throving jelous temper-tantrums, when it came to their relationship. It was tiresome, to say the least. The best drawn character in the story worthy of reading was the old beuin woman who takes the spoiled bratty Heroine under her wings and teaches her what life in the desert is really like and what is expected of her. It was an ok read that had some bright moments but fell a bit short. I give it 3 stars.
