Why people read the current crop of NY Times "Best Selling authors," while ignoring the more intellectual mysteries and thrillers from older authors like MacInnes, Patricia Wentworth, Joesphine Tey, Alistair MacLean and others often bewilders me.

"Assignment in Brittany" is a perfect example of the great tales these authors created for our pleasure.
