Enjoyable, quick read. I did try the golden eggs and I guess I am just not a fan of such things. As she describes, it is like a donut. If you didn't dip it in butter and sugar it would be very boring. Maybe she left out an ingredient like she says other chefs do. A friend of mine tried her cheese cake and was also not impressed. How does a bakery stay open if the food is just "eh". My favorite part was the feeling of community you experienced at the bakery and in the little town in Vermont. I really enjoyed this book.
