A beautiful 250 year old vampire, Mignon Du Plessis stalks the streets of New Orleans hunting one of her own kind who is on a killing spree. She must team up with one of New Orleans finest detective Ryan Lattimore to stop the carnage. Not only must she stop the rogue vampire, she must keep the existance of her kind secret. And not give in to the temptation of the sexy detective.

Mignon is a seductive, and kick ass romance herione. She walks in two world, human and vampire. As the matriarch of her family of human descendants, she will do anything to protect them. As a vampire she is a tireless executioner with no mercy. Unlike many vamp stories with long lived vamps the readers get to know her background from a slave in Martinique to the present day. As she bring her own emotion baggage to the story.

Ryan, is wisecracking, laid back police detective who is skeptical of his beautiful new 'partner' and her tale of vampires run amuck in the Big Easy.

This book so ROCKED!!!!!!! The fresh take on the vampire romance kept me reading all night long and the subplot of a woman caught in a web of governmental lies makes me anxious for the next story of J.M. Jeffries vamps.
