Is this a good book? I can hardly tell! I bought it at the market and nowhere on the cover did it state it was the second book in a series. Not having read the first, the author makes no effort to catch the reader up. So I suffered for a week through HALF the book (when I usually read a book in a day) and then gave up and listed it out of lack of interest. A few annoying uncorrected typos, but the writing is not bad...I just do not have a frame of reference coming in the middle of a story with no attempt from the author to summarize past events for a new reader.
