This second book in the series was so much slower than the first. Not much occurred in the first 300 pages of the book other than character build up and a history lesson, both of which I appreciated, but honestly could have taken only 150 pages. The last 100 pages almost redeemed it, but not quite. Hopefully the third installment is a bit more fast paced.
