This story is set in Alaska, a rough and sometimes dangerous environment with eerie nearly day long darkness. There is a murder and our heroine is suspect. There is a missing husband, a baby without a father, and a woman confused and frightened and very very protective of her child. She is determined to find out what happened to the man she married, which nearly gets her killed. When the killer is revealed I was surprised by the identity. Good story.
