Contemporary mystery/thriller by Darden North, MD. Dr. Brad Cummins loses a patient while serving in Iraq that troubles him. The surgery went well, but the patient died for unknown reasons. Dr. Cummins was criticized for spending time with an Iraqi native just prior to the surgery. This haunts Cummins, and others, when he returns to Mississippi. The soldier's grandfather is looking for answers, and the man's mysterious girlfriend is haunted by the death.

Then Brad Cummins' twin brother and fiancé are both murdered. Brad feels certain that he was the intended target. What really happened in Iraq, and who is gunning for him?

I ordered this book, because I read another by this author, House Call, which I really enjoyed. Wiggle room is good, but maybe not quite as good. Some things just didn't seem to make sense. Dr. Cummins moves on to another girlfriend very quickly after the death of his fiancé, and he very quickly decides to put her death and that of his brother behind him, and move on. It felt to fast, to me. The character doesn't seem to grieve over much. Further, the author seems to portray the women in the story as shallow. There are a few typos in the book. The book is fair.
