Talon Drake, the Fourth Earl of Sunderland, turns to a life of piracy after his life is destroyed. He is accused of treason, losing his family name and honor. With his father and mother brutally murdered so begins Talon's quest for revenge and redemption.
He devices an elaborate plot to strike out at his greatest foe. He sets out to kidnap Harrison Kendrick's intended. Unknowingly, he kidnaps the wrong woman.
Regan Welles is found in her cousin's bedroom causing Talon to believe that she is Harrison's intended. She is not. She is his half sister. This, of course, he doesn't realize until much later on.
