Crippled at birth, Seana is shunned by the other children. When the boy she loves joins his peers in taunting her, Seana flees, her young heart breaking. When Broc Ceannfionn follows her, soothing her tears, Seana vows to repay his kindness.

Seana finds the courage to approach Colin. Colin has no clue as to the bewitching lass's identity. Drawn to her in ways he cannot fathom, he does not understand why she is interested in Broc instead of him.

By the time Colin agrees to help, his own heart has been lost to the beautiful lass. As he sets out to prove his feelings for Seana, they unknowingly become embroiled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse. An enemy from the past seeks revenge and cares not who or what he destroys along the way.
