You ever watched a movie where the music was too loud over the speaking and it was irritating? This book was like that for me. Too many strong characters banging around at each other. No balance to the writing or the characters. I really didn't like it even though I wanted to. The next day I read C.S. Harris 'Who Slays the Wicked' and it was five times the better mystery than Baldacci's. Balanced characters, great writing, good mystery. I think I'm done with some of these overblown prolific writers like James Patterson and David Baldacci.
