If you're into rivers, this is the book. The author traveled by 22' C-Dory along the northern water route from the Hudson River at New York's Atlantic port, via the Erie Canal and the Great Lakes, the Allegheny, the Ohio, the Missouri all the way to the mouth of the Snake River at the Pacific. Needless to say, many true boat moments and many local color moments all in a long but compelling narrative.
