I love detective novels, and I really tried to like this one. Just couldn't get into it. The story was plodding, and the writing style was such that I had to keep going back to stuff I had already read because the author would suddenly bring up something that seemed really insignificant previously. Having someone from the DA's office do this intense detective work just didn't seem plausible either.
