This is a fantastic story! My eyes ate the words up so fast, my head was spinning. I wish I could find more books like this. This book is one of those that just whips your head around, you lose yourself in it all, it stays in your thoughts. You cant get enough. Totally sucked in to a totally awesome book! LOVED IT!

Delia, short for Cordelia, a teenager who has just inherited a massive 4 story mental asylum for girls, from her namesake Aunt Cordelia, has a lot on her hands. The place is long since stopped providing care for patients, but has been the homestead of her Aunts' for many years.

Delia visits the place along with her parents and younger sister. Their intention is to clean it up for sale, allowing Delia money for college or anything else she may need later on. This is all cut short when Delia dies outside of the asylum, mysteriously falling from an upstairs window. Delia may have left her body but her spirit inhabits the place along with many other ghosts on and off the grounds.

The secrets this asylum holds and saving her family and anyone else from the place all falls on her to her invisible shoulders. It is a uniquely told ghost story and exactly the way I would picture the spirit realm if it exists. Which I believe does. You would have a hard time denying the existence of ghosts too after reading this fantastic tale. There are no boring parts, you are flipping the pages from beginning to end. It has a terrific ending too.

Every "ghost story" lover should read this one. It is not full of horror or gore, it is elegantly written. I am now a fan of this author and will now seek more books by her.

I highly recommend this 5 star book!
