A little girl looks at the scary people in her life and imagines what they do when she's not around. The scary, loud teenager pets his cat every morning until she purrs. The bus driver makes pancakes for her kids every morning. Then she says what the scary teenager and the policeman do and she knows, not imagines. The teenager is her older sister and the policeman is her dad.
Why I recommend it: The illustrations are well done. The contrast between the scary person and how they are at home is marvelous.
