Charlie was the girl most likely to succeed. Walker Pearce was the cowboy most likely to be, well, a cowboy. Now Charlie is back in her home town of Jackson Hole, Wyoming, with her tail between her legs and paying her penance one smarmy comment from her boss at a time. Walker is paying his by taking temporary jobs here and there. Neither knows what the other is currently about right now, they just remember their good friend from high school and are caught up in the new attraction they're feeling.
I like the realistically flawed characters this series has created and they way they end up mending their lives and relationships. There are plenty of laughs and fulfilling side characters to carry the story in between the page burning ultra yummy sex scenes. An erotic little solo/self-serve sex session was my favorite - very intimate and extremely hot at the same time.
I got the feeling that this was the last of the books in the series, and that kind of bums me out. I have really enjoyed the Stud Ranch shenanigans and its residents. I think this one was my favorite; Walker and Charlie were so different in some aspects and so different in others. I like the old friendships rekindled storyline and this one was great. Definitely recommended.
