The ACTUAL events of the Cuban Missile Crisis (which nearly ended our civilization, by the way) are portrayed here in a way that is so compelling you cannot stop reading: this is REAL LIFE that reads like a well contrived novel. I picked it up because President Obama mentioned it in one of his interviews, this is a book EVERY AMERICAN should read. The horrific propaganda against the Soviet Union and its leadership (including Nikita Khrushchev) is clearly exposed for what it was: mind numbing reduction of the populations in the United States and Western Europe into puppets and parrots. Kennedy and Khrushchev worked TOGETHER behind the scenes to avoid global catastrophe and had the TWO of them not done that, we would all be ash. We were LIED TO by the powers that were; we were MISLED into believing Khrushchev was a podium pounding lunatic. And folks, this sort of propagandizing is going ON TODAY. DO NOT believe everything you read and see on national news networks. Remember what propaganda perpetrated in the hands of lunatics (Goebbels) in Nazi Germany: yes it CAN happen again.
