"I think you chose the wrong time to get to know me, Scott". He tensed. He suspected this was heading somewhere he did not like. "Because of the memories?" Scott is a successful businessman. But on his 38th birthday, he realizes that even though he's blessed with family and friends and a great career - something is missing. As he blows out the candles on his cake, he whispers a silent prayer to God for a wife. The very next day Scott meets enigmatic author Jennifer St. James while strolling on the beach. Jennifer holds a lot of pain behind her angelic eyes. Still mourning the loss of her husband and infant daughter, Jennifer's once-deep faith is now fragile.
