The author ( whom I followed for years with The Destroyer series) created a sprawling crime epic in The Godfather style. A successful Italians American family post WW1 is drawn into a conflict with the Mob. An interesting mix blending fiction with real historical events/figures. Predictable, but enjoyable for gangster era fans.
