This is the first book I have read by Phillip Margolin. From the description, I expected it to be far more grisly. Instead, it was a pleasantly readable legal thriller. Nothing that happens is too surprising, as the reader will likely pick up on the clues far more quickly than the characters do. Margolin does keep the pages turning though with short chapters and some courtroom drama.
