Sueanne Hobson appeared to be a wonderful wife and mother in a blended family where she and her husband had each adopted the other's children. All was not well, however, and when her husband Ed's only child was murdered by Sueanne's troubled son and a friend everything began to unwind. Sueanne is qickly implicated as the mastermind of the murder. She is proved to be a manipulator of her children (her daughter was also aware of the plot to rid the family of this child that Sueanne supposedly hated). Her husband divorced her shortly after his son's death, but later remarried her after he became convinced that she had nothing to do with the tragedy. She was convicted of first degree murder - Ed stuck by her.
