This was more or less from a chapter of Isaiah Berlin's "Age of Enlightenment." Berlin isn't a fan of this guy, so I don't know if he'd be a fan of the publication of this enhanced chapter. The guy was a 2nd rate philosopher, as far as discipline goes, certainly. He didn't grow much after his coversion. Hamann was born in 1730, died in 1788, and was rather obscure in his lifetime.
