I zipped through this incredibly fast-paced story of a young adult trying to make sense of a bizarre series of events. I felt entertained throughout but still a little disappointed at the end. The *very* final bit should really have been explored; that, alone, was worth reading it and I wished the author would have addressed the radical implications behind the idea he casually dropped. It almost seemed like it was thrown in without a thought. Holy cow, I wish he'd write a separate book about that.
Like I said, it moves quickly, it's fascinating, and it will give you a lot to think about. The characters weren't bad but Kyle certainly frustrated me quite a bit.
Also appreciated was the editor's note at the beginning, which puzzled me until I read the final section. That was nothing short of lovely, and made me a tad emotional. Not much greasy teen romance in this one, either, so that's a plus.
