Great mystery, but the author doesn't skimp on the violence. Plot line has many twists and turns with an edge of your seat ending, but not a cliff hanger. The suspense is high through much of the story, making it a real page turner. Realistic characters with issues of their own, in addition to trying to solve the mystery.

The book gives an in depth look at what Johannesburg is like since apartheid ended and it's certainly not running very smoothly so far - lots of crime in this city and a definite disregard for the law.

Since I have the next book, I'm digging into that one right away. This is definitely an author to follow!
