This is a great gay love story. It's not sappy, campy or explicit in any way shape or form. The author, Dave Brown, told this story with sophistication. It is set in 1886 in the "old west." Jake is running from his crazy neighbors and eventually meets Wiley, his partner to be. You really feel for the characters and wish them the best throughout the story.
Anyone who loves westerns should read this book!
