Once Cynthia Mitchell was a young and chic New York public relations executive. Then she met Daniel. Wooed by words of love and dreams of a family, she married the cool, handsome airline pilot and moved to Texas.
Then her dreams of happiness became a nightmare. Now Cynthia is to stand trial for murdering her husband and she thinks only of survival and a way out.
Imprisioned in the psychiatric ward of the Forth Worth Federal COrrections Institute, known as the "Country Club"' Cynthia endures the humiliations of prison life and reveals through flashbacks the escalalting brutality in her marriage.
This was a hard read for me, I couldnt get into it, so I never finished it.
