I liked this author's sprightly style, and her skill at characterization, especially with kids, but that wasn't enough to let me finish this confusing novel. I found myself flipping back time after time to identify characters and their rather complicated relationships. Who's married (or not) to who, whose kid is whose - this is not a novel that you can pick up and put down, and it sorely needs a cast of characters list in the front. This author is a good writer, but it was just too much confusion for my tired brain. I gave up about halfway through.
