Truly enjoyed reading this book which is told by Etta Place, sweetheart and lover of the Sundance Kid. The novel begins with the childhood of Etta Place and progresses to when she met the two famous outlaws. Falling in love with Sundance, Etta follows the Hole in the Wall gang through bank and train robberies. Because of her link with Sundance she becomes part of the gang, participating in their activities including the eventual move to South America.

I wondered about the last part of the book which has Butch Cassidy surviving the shootout in Bolivia. However, there is no actual proof that his was one of the bodies found after the shootout. Interestingly, DNA from a body believed to be his did not match the DNA of descendents. Furthermore, family members stated that he visited them and died later in the Northwest where he may have settled. Did he survive? We may never know but this author provides a scemario that could explain what may have happened. Most enjoyable read.
