The story is based on a rejected story from Lester Dent.It was re-worked by Will Murray into a Doc Savage tale. Absolutely unsuccessful! The primary lead was so not Doc. Most of the mannerisms ascribed to the "hero" went completely against many of the character traits painstakingly established by scores of DS stories that came before. Aside from that glaring flaw, it's not a bad adventure.
