This is the 4th book in a series that started with Chase The Wind, Winds of the Wolf, and Crosswinds. The series continues with this book then continues in Forgive the Wind and Whirlwind.

Windfall focuses mainly on 4 characters:
Jake - He awoke from months of unconsciousness with his body healed, but his mind full of unanswerable questions. Was there a woman waiting somewhere for him? A family? A place he belonged?
Shannon - She had walked away from an abusive father and the only home she'd ever known. Could a soldier with no past be the future she prayed for?
