I am disappointed ... this is one of my favorite authors but with this effort I am disappointed. This is re-write of a manuscript from the mid 70's but perhaps it should have remained in the drawer as I don't think there was any vitality or sense of excitement brought to this re-write. A number of other members rate it a 3 "like it" so perhaps it's as simple as beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I just don't think this compares at all to his prior works.
