âI love the love/hate relationship between Merrick and Juliana. Even though I enjoy more"kick-ass" type heroine, the author somehow made Juliana's sweet, gentle, naivete persona work. Being that Merrick is the King of the Unblessed, the two only compliment each other.
I was pleasantly surprised the book had more depth than I thought it would've. I only gave the book a try because of the positive reviews on Amazon and now I'm glad I did.
