Really great plot with many sub-plots that captured my interest. It sometimes jumps back and forth between the book's present and one character's past. But all this helps to explain the story. Ms. Brody really does a great job with her three main characters in this series.

I've enjoyed all these books. So I'm somewhat sad she may have abandoned it to begin another series, as seen on the Fantastic fiction website. But I'll be checking that site every six months or so in hopes she writes another Kate Shackleton book.
