In the 1870s Louisa May Alcott made friends with five earnest fans of her best-selling Little Women. The young Lukens girls wrote to Miss Alcott telling her that they were inspired by her books. Soon the Lukens girls received a very special gift -- a Christmas story from Miss Alcott about a lonely orphan girl who finds a family to love her. Also included are a story about Tilly, a poor girl, who has a wonderful Christmas with a robin who needs her care; and, one about Rosa, a horse, who tells her history to a girl who has befriended her.

Great gift book! Wonderful story!
