The event takes place in the 1800's. Like most Indian love stories, it ends up with a white captive lady who marrys the young Indian Chief. It tells of her trials and struggles before her captivity and afterwards and how she became highly respected of the Indian tribe. I can get lost in stories such as this one and can become the captive to live in the past history.
