I enjoyed this book. The story is all over the place, starting with a young mom and her 3yr. old son being caught in the middle of a convenience store hold-up. Her son is the result of date-rape, so the story is explicit. It also includes how it affects her sex life after the fact, so may not be appropriate for a younger audience. Shandi meets a man with Asperger's syndrome and her son is highly intelligent. Although, the characterization may not be perfect, I appreciate the fact that the author is addressing the different way that these men view their worlds and the women who love them. A bit of a mystery, a bit of a love story and a bit of people learning more about themselves.
