I love kid lit and I especially love quality tales that blend fantasy with reality (think the Green Knowe series) but I just couldn't get into this one. I was just too fantastic and over the top, and not well developed. It felt like there was always something happening, but everything both started and ended abruptly, and subsequently felt very jerky and incohesive. I wish I could say I liked it, but it was not destined for a spot in the permanent library.
