Generally I really enjoy Caskie's characters however I had a hard time with how selfish & self absorbed Jenny is in this book. I actually had to force myself to continue reading more knowing that it had to get better, but it takes quite awhile. From the beginning you also have a feeling that there is going to be more to Lansing's connection with the Featherton's and some secret to Jenny's past as well.
I enjoyed the first book in the Featherton series, so will not let this book stop me from reading the rest. Just wasn't one of my favorites from the beginning like many of her books are for me.
