Leo Guild didn't think he'd ever see his wife Sarah again once she ran off with a gunfighter named Frank Evans. But now, in a small time river town that's like a thousand others, Leo hears that she's been looking for him. A mysterious stranger has invited Frank to his ranch for a birthday celebration, and a chance to win ten thousand dollars in a fair gunfight. But there are too many men out there who want to see Frank dead, and the stranger's proposition seems more than a little suspicious. Of course, Sarah wants Leo to stop the fight and bring Frank back to her alive. Leo reluctantly agrees, but will he honor Sarah's request or his own feelings, which urge him to leave Frank for dead and claim Sarah for his own?..
