North Wagoner is 15 and full of fire. This summer on Glass Lake with her cousin Deedee is going to be the best ever-fun, fast cars, and maybe, just maybe, her first kiss. She can't wait to grow up...But after her parents drop her off and leave for Europe, North is soon beset by doubts. Her cousin's romantic adventures bring unexpected, troubling consequences, and Aunt Joan swallows pills that keep her oddly distant. Worst of all, the kisses North had dreamed of are not at all what she'd hoped, as her uncle cajoles and coerces her to do things she doesn't want to.
