A collection of short stories about witches, werewolves, demons, undead, and dead: The Repentant shines light onto those forces who feel the need to redeem themselves for their nature.
The premise is great, reminiscent of Joss Whedon's Buffy/Angel-verse, or certain episodes of Supernatural, but some of the stories seem unfinished. Some of the characters, particularly in the two werewolf stories are very engaging, and I loved the Mafioso vampire, but others, like the corpse-cutter, just fell flat.
This book is worth reading at least once, because some of the stories are sure to engage you, and you can then find other works by those authors - a great touching off point for finding more stories in this genre.
